Yoga UX(n.) [yoga (Sanskrit: union) + UX, abbr. user experience]

The deliberate design of yoga teaching to shape a connected learning experience and foster human connection.

Get clear on who you are & what you’re about as a yoga teacher.

We’ve built a learning ecosystem for teachers that fuels curiosity, quickly solves problems & supports the practice as much as the people dedicated to teaching it.

The future of yoga lies in the science of human connection.

Structure That Serves

Every student who walks into your class is trusting you with something they cannot fully articulate. The bigger problem is, neither can the teacher.

We teach the practice of letting go, yet we can't let go of thinking business and spirituality can exist harmoniously.

Yoga teaching is a science and an art. We came to teach it because we love it, but that shouldn't mean that we'll work for free, in an industry that generates trillions. We prepare sequences, show up fully, and still can't fill classes. So we get another certification. We still don't have the confidence we think we should.

I have been practicing for fifteen years now. Fifteen years ago, I didn't even like yoga. It was uncomfortable and hard, but I kept showing up anyway until I realized it completely changed my life and I am forever grateful for the wisdom it has given me. Nine years teaching later, I wanted to understand why the yoga industry rejects the idea of something I have spent the last fifteen years refining and building for other people's businesses and teams. Standardize, scale, professionalize

To understand that, I had to really break down the age-old question: "What makes a good yoga class?" and try to understand how nobody could see the obvious answer in our faces.

We know something is wrong, but we can't name it. Students know something is wrong, but "class was great" is the only thing we hear. But studios are closing, consumers are wildly confused, and the whole reason I started yoga in the first place has become disconnected. So we keep throwing spaghetti at the wall, getting feedback too vague, making changes that are irrelevant to use, spiraling deeper into doubt about something we love. Students don't return. We need more training, another certification, more experience, but the real issue is we think taking more classes will make us better at teaching them.

We are the problem.

True teaching isn't about micro-managing a room with endless cues. It is about fostering self-inquiry so deeply that students learn to trust their own skin-- embodying the practice.

How can you deliberately improve something if you can't identify it in practice?

That's the problem YOGAUX solves.

We get a shared language to name what's working or what's not. Systems that are simple, fast, and teachable give us teaching confidence, faster. We build playlists in less time to shape mood, understand how our body language affects instruction, how lighting, vocals, and volume dictate energy and stress response, and how people learn so we organize our cueing to teach all audiences at once. We audit our own work, grounded in behavior science and psychology, not guessing. We have the ability to multitask, teach off our mat, and do more simultaneously, since the prep work is already done once we've learned and memorized these systems. That lets us be more fully present with our practitioners, build our businesses, and reshape the industry. Once we have the method, we can scale without losing our voice.

True breakthrough requires having variables that shift the energy of a room. When ancient wisdom meets deliberate experience design, true teaching evolves from guessing into a professional craft. By identifying measurable behaviors, collecting real-time data, and embracing feedback, we learn to decode the rhythm of our own room, become leaders, support teaching and stand up for the yoga industry. When we empower others to think, question, and trust themselves through self-inquiry, the room becomes infinitely more powerful, right?
